Let's Connect! We believe that every child is a scientist and that we can make children even better scientists! Club Scientific 2018 Summer Camps season will offer 9 summer day camps.

All of our hands-on National Science Standard activities make science challenging and fun! Our camp Directors are highly trained college graduates, assisted by currently enrolled college students that have been trained by Club Scientific.

Summer Camps 2018

Robot Inventor

This camp is an introduction into the world of robotics. Campers will learn about the six simple machines and how they are incorporated into more complex machines. Campers will also learn about circuits and power sources to build a robot based machine with sensors and motors that are plugged into a computer, and configure behaviors using a simple programming tool. Campers will also have fun constructing our solar Robot.

Sample Projects:
Creating Electric Circuits! Building a remote controlled vehicle, building simple machines with Knex, and constructing a robot.

In addition:
Campers will work in the areas of observation, experimentation and trial and error as they build, race, and experiment with their robots.

Camp Video Game Maker

Campers will start with our special Video Game Creation program, designed for the absolute beginner. If your child is an aspiring game maker with no idea where to start, this is the software for them. The software uses a "shooter style" game engine; therefore, it is ideal for making their own shooting games. For returning campers, and those campers that master our beginner's software program, we have advanced software which allows campers to go as far as they want in the course of the week. This includes shooter style, platform and maze type games.

Camp CSI

Campers will learn to become Crime Scene Investigators during actual crime scene setups! Campers will learn how law enforcement professional solve crimes and meet real professional Crime Scene Investigators, K-9 Handlers and Forensic Pathologists. You'll use the tools used in the field to collect evidence. Campers will learn how a crime is actually solved and learn how Biology, Chemistry and Physics plays a major role in the investigation!

Sample Projects:
Blood Analysis; Fiber, Handwriting, Fingerprinting, and DNA Analysis!

Camp Emergency Vet:

Camp Emergency Vet is designed for campers ages 9-13. Activities and experiments explore science topics of interest to budding veterinarians such as anatomy, physiology, and animal care. During each activity scientific concepts are constantly reinforced.

Camp Young Engineers:

Camp Young Engineers is designed for campers ages 6-12. Activities and experiments introduce engineering science with Lego's and Robotics. One exciting aspect of the camp is the experiments dealing with robot building and Magnetism. Noteworthy scientists are introduced through “Meet the Scientist.”  Campers will learn of the many contributions of Isaac Newton in a fun, exciting way.  The scientific concepts used are taught through “The Science Involved.”

Camp Special Effects:

This is the first camp ever offered by Club Scientific! Newly revised and more exciting than ever, campers learn the science behind Hollywood's special effects. Activities will demonstrate concepts related to light, sound, perception, illusion, and model building. Campers will also learn various special effect make-up techniques working with the same materials used by professional make-up artists to simulate cuts, bruises, artificial blood, and old age. Is there a future movie director living in your house? This is a camp your child won't want to miss!

Young Paleontologist

Camp Jr Paleontologist is designed for campers ages 6-8.  Activities and experiments explore the prehistoric era.  During each activity branches of science and noteworthy scientists are introduced through “Meet the Scientist.”  The scientific concepts used are taught through “The Science Involved.” Camp Young Paleontologist is designed for campers ages 6-12.  Activities and experiments explore the prehistoric era.  During each activity branches of science and noteworthy scientists are introduced through “Meet the Scientist.”  The scientific concepts used are taught through “The Science Involved.”

Sample Projects:
Volcano Building, Dinosaur Excavation

Young Paleontologist

Camp Jr. Space Astronomer is designed for campers ages 6-8.  Activities and experiments explore air and space travel, the Earth-Moon-Sun relationships, stars and galaxies.  Special emphasis is placed on learning about the scientist related to an activity through “Meet the Scientist” and the science behind the activity through “The Science Involved.”  The activities and experiments of each day at camp are arranged by scientific concept.

Sample Projects:
Balloon Rockets, Solar System Model, Space Shuttle Glider
